CSCA Exam in Pakistan 2026–27: Fees, Dates and Registration
CSCA exam in Pakistan: 2026–27 dates, Pakistan time, CNY 450/700 fees, registration on csca.cn, subject choices and HEC scholarship checks.
If you are applying to a Chinese undergraduate program from Pakistan, start with your university's current admission notice. It tells you whether you need a CSCA score and which papers to take. Register for the exam only at csca.cn. The published exam fee is CNY 450 for one subject or CNY 700 for two or more, regardless of where you live; your card provider determines the amount charged in Pakistani rupees. CSCA.ai is an independent preparation platform, not the exam organiser. This guide was checked on 5 November 2026.
- Next scheduled sitting: 14–15 November 2026, but its registration is closed. If you did not register, plan for 19–20 December 2026.
- December registration period: 25 November–1 December 2026, according to the University of Science and Technology Beijing's 28 October notice. That notice does not specify opening or closing hours; check csca.cn for live booking details.
- Official exam fee: CNY 450 for one paper or CNY 700 for two or more papers. Do not assume a fixed PKR price.
- Official exam registration and payment: csca.cn. HEC scholarship applications and university applications are separate processes.
- Test centre or home-based availability: check the options displayed for your session in your official CSCA account; do not assume a named city has a confirmed centre.
Do applicants from Pakistan need the CSCA?
Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chinese Government Scholarship page says CSCA was required for undergraduate applicants in its 2026–27 scholarship cycle. It distinguishes Type-A applications nominated through HEC from Type-B and other direct scholarship applications, for which applicants handle their own submissions. That page gives a 5 January 2026 HEC deadline: it is historical, not a deadline for the 2027–28 intake. Check HEC for a newly published cycle and check every target university for its current CSCA and score-report requirements. A bachelor's applicant and a master's applicant should not assume they follow the same exam rule.
For an example of how program rules differ, the University of Science and Technology Beijing's 2027 notice requires English-medium Mathematics and Chemistry for its English-taught Environmental Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering programs. Do not copy that pair of papers for a different university or degree. Use our subjects-by-major guide to make a shortlist, then verify it against each university's own notice before paying.
What are the next CSCA dates in Pakistan time?
The USTB notice lists these test dates: 14–15 November and 19–20 December 2026; 23–24 January, 13–14 March, 24–25 April and 26–27 June 2027. November registration closed on 21 October. For December, USTB lists 25 November–1 December as the registration period. It does not publish the precise opening and closing hours; confirm them and any revised notice at csca.cn. Our full CSCA exam dates guide also covers all published 2027 registration periods.
Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) is three hours behind Beijing time. For the 19–20 December 2026 sitting, the Chinese Embassy's published timetable gives Professional Chinese at 08:00 Beijing time and Mathematics at 11:00 on 19 December; those starts are 05:00 and 08:00 PKT. Physics starts at 08:00 Beijing time and Chemistry at 10:30 on 20 December; those are 05:00 and 07:30 PKT. These are paper start times, not login or check-in times. Your admission ticket and the official sitting notice take precedence.
How much does the CSCA exam cost in Pakistan?
The Shanghai government CSCA guide lists CNY 450 for one subject and CNY 700 for two or more subjects. A PKR estimate changes with the exchange rate, card network and bank charges, so use the actual amount shown by your payment provider on the day you pay. This is the exam organiser's fee; CSCA.ai practice or live-class prices, if you choose those services, are separate. Confirm the amount and supported payment methods in your official csca.cn checkout before completing payment. Do not send exam fees to an unrelated site or person. For the full form and payment checklist, read our registration and fee guide.
How do you register from Pakistan?
Register on the official CSCA site
Confirm your program's papers
Read each target university's admission notice for required subjects, paper language and score deadline. Pick a sitting that leaves time for the result to arrive.
Prepare your details
Have your valid identity document, compliant digital photo and an email address you can access. Use the identity spelling that appears on your document.
Create your account at csca.cn
Choose the open sitting, the papers and the exam mode or test centre offered to you. Check the city, date, time zone and permitted test format in the official portal.
Review and pay
Check every subject, language and document number before payment. Use only the payment methods shown in the official checkout and save your receipt and confirmation.
Prepare and submit your score
Follow the instructions on your admission ticket. When results are released, download your score report and submit it through the university or scholarship route that applies to you.
If no Pakistan test centre appears for your selected sitting, do not rely on an old third-party list. Check whether the official portal offers a home-based exam or another permitted option for you and read its current device, room and ID rules. The official registration screen and admission ticket are the final source for your assigned mode and location.
How should you prepare without confusing practice with past papers?
Begin with the official subject syllabi and sample materials linked from csca.cn. Make a short list of topics you miss, then practise those topics under the real paper's time limit. CSCA.ai's five free questions per subject are independent exam-style practice, not leaked or official past papers. Our official-PDF and worked-examples guide shows where to find official material and labels our own examples clearly.
Quick answers for students in Pakistan
- Is CNY 450 or 700 an HEC application fee? No. It is the CSCA exam fee. Check HEC and your university separately for their application requirements and any other charges.
- Can I pay a fixed fee in PKR? The exam fee is published in CNY. The PKR charge depends on your payment provider's conversion and fees; check before authorizing payment.
- Is the 5 January 2026 HEC deadline still open? No. It belongs to the 2026–27 scholarship cycle. Wait for an official new-cycle notice before relying on a later deadline.
- Is a Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad test centre guaranteed? No. Only rely on locations and modes offered in the official booking flow for your chosen sitting.
- Where do I register? Only on csca.cn. CSCA.ai helps you prepare and cannot issue an official admission ticket or score report.
